Christmas Adopt-a-Family

We have 18+ families from Liberty School who need our love and care this Christmas season.  The family names will be on our Christmas tree in the foyer. Attached will be detailed information sheets for each family on the sign up desk to help you with your gift giving.  You can take one individual to buy presents for, or join with others and take care of an entire family.  This is a great opportunity for you, your family, or your LifeLink to provide God's love and grace to others in need.  Help make someone else's Christmas very special this year!

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." - Matthew 25:40

Thy Kingdom Come

Being part of Harris Prairie Church is such a blessing to the Williams’ family. We have seen God working so mightily in our church. Commitment and love are happening among us – lives are being touched, people are experiencing life-change. The power of Jesus is being lived out among us. I love being part of this church. I look forward to what God is going to do for Harris Prairie Church and River Park Grace.

I am sure that it does not seem possible to most of us, but it is Christmas time and the year is almost gone. This is a time of the year to both reflect and celebrate. Family gatherings. Shopping. Going here. Going there. Never having enough time. It is a season when all kinds of emotions come out. Many of us are sad, happy, hopeful, and reflective all at the same time. How do we get through another Christmas season with both our sanity and resolve in tack?

One suggestion. Go back to the original story and make it central to your Christmas season. While family gatherings, surprise gifts, Santa Claus, and Christmas traditions are important, the Christmas story is more important. This is a time of good news. God’s son has come to the world to give us life and to help us have a new day.

Because God, through Jesus, has intersected our world, we have a reason to live and hope. The scourge of sin has been answered and the heaven’s glory is among us.  This Christmas can be a time when we refocus on what is truly important and we can share the story of Christmas with those around us. Invite your friends and family to our Advent services, and our special Christmas Eve and Christmas morning service. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. Thy Kingdom Come!
