Midweek: Midweek

Midweek is centered on classes that are offered to children, youth, and adults on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30p.m. Snacks are provided at 6 p.m. for a social time. We are currently offering two types of adult classes - Bible Study and Life Application. All classes are offered in five-week segments with a two-week break in between the class sessions. Midweek deepens our journey with God by teaching us ways to embrace others and intersect our faith with this world.  Our next session will run from January 25 through February 22.

for Midweek Kids  (No registration is required for youth or adult classes).

ADULT CLASSES: We will have a guest speaker, Dr. Chad Meister, a professor of religion and philosophy at Bethel College.  Dr. Meister will be teaching about God and the Problem of Pain. Our world is filled with grief, suffering and evil. If God is all-powerful and perfectly good, why does he permit so much pain in the world he created? Does he cause it? Why does he allow us to suffer? How can we make sense of it all? These are some of the questions we will be tackling over this five-week series.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES: The children will participate in a unique and exciting tour of Israel where Jesus walked and ministered. During the Journey with Jesus, the kids will learn new songs, make Bible-times crafts, play games and grow to understand just who Jeus is and how they can live in ways that show their love for Him.

YOUTH CLASSES: The Jr. and Sr. High School kids will meet in the Cellar and have group discussions with an indepth study of the life and times of Paul.

Midweek FAQs

Who can attend Midweek?
Midweek classes are offered for children, youth, and adults. The nursery will be open during class times.

Will food be available?
Snacks and beverages will be provided before class time, at 6 p.m.

What are the classes like?
It is our goal to offer enticing and exciting environments for the whole family during these five week sessions.

What types of classes are offered for adults?
Each session will have at least two classes available. One class will be a Bible study and one will be a life application class.  Occasionally, the teachings will be done via video or from a guest speaker.

Why the two week breaks between classes?
The breaks are intentional because we believe that life is busy. Breaks give our teachers and volunteers a rest, while also providing them ample time to prepare and provide quality classes that can produce spiritual maturity in the lives of our children, teens and adults.
