Recently, Harris Prairie Church of Christ’s leadership announced an exciting new emphasis and vision for our church. The essence of this new vision is ministering to the entire Michiana region, one neighborhood at a time. To begin, we’ve decided to serve the city of Mishawaka. In attempts to minister to the neighborhoods beyond Mishawaka, we’ve committed to planting new churches throughout the Michiana area in due time.
As we asked ourselves, and God, how we can best accomplish these goals, we examined our present location. Is this where we can best carry out this vision? We concluded that our ministry could be best accomplished in another location. We have therefore decided to put our property on the market in order to move closer in proximity to the city of Mishawaka.
To help us accomplish this dream, we signed up with Leah Hudson of ReMax 100 to be our realtor and listing agent. She is in charge of marketing our property and assisting all potential buyers. We want to assure the community that we value the relationship that we have had with you and want to continue to grow that relationship. We are listing our property for sale, but feel very strongly that doing so will only improve this neighborhood, not depreciate it. We want you to know that we are considering the area and the property value through this entire transition.
While we believe these plans are from God, we also trust him to make the final decision about whether we sell our property or not. As he has led our church for the past 150 years, we believe God is in charge of our church’s journey today. We want to be in the best position we can to bring the light of Jesus to the neighborhoods of Northeast St. Joseph County. We are thrilled about our future and we as a church want to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we actively enter the neighborhoods of Mishawaka, Granger and beyond.
